omg i love india. i grew up there — oh man chandigarh and mohali yaar kitna waqt ho gaya- is YPS still the cool school?
I lived in india from 1989–1997, and im not going to lie to you, outside of maybe an arranged marriage, i had little prospects. and even my parents knew i was more likely to become a gunda than be marriage material. im mogli.
over the years ive kept tabs on the politics in india, as has every diaspora person. especially someone who has alot of relatives and family that served in the indian armed forces. i grew up around these folks. plus i go back every few years for a cup of chai.
now the thing thats complicated and hilarious is no one really has a political bent in most of india. most ppl dont care and they just watch it. except the political strategy at play in india is more sophisticated than any other country.
to understand the regional complexities in india, it it worth noting that each state is a country. its got its own culture, its own dialiect and its own geographical landscape. the world is in india.
