you would never know by looking at him. hes unassuming, he looks like he would never know what to do with money if he had it. hes THAT uncle. im real lucky- i had alot of “those” uncles.

they dont really show up to the party either. u know they exist and they know u do and none of u really has the time for the party anyway. so u dont go. then u have that one relation. the only one who u want to celebrate for. so no one makes u but u go. u r always out of fashion.

u forgot to keep up and now who cares so u wear the same thing u wore last time. u take it in here- loosen it up there and gets the job done. and the music is too loud and somewhere in all the “how do u dos” u end up at the same matter panner line at the same time.

and its always something about nothing except with this uncle. he always starts with, “so what are you doing these days”. and he knows- and u know. u better be working on something interesting. hes the uncle who makes sure that you dont commit the ultimate indian crime

“do something meaningful with your life”

“dont forget to work hard- enjoy it- paint”

and u spend too long and become the bottleneck. so u leave the dining hall together. sit on the broken chairs by the ugly front entrance and hours are lost between you. a bit of ur work- a bit of his, one sharing the other too curious to…
