I like efficiency. I dont know any billionaires. and i make no claims to understand who they r or judge them privately. i invoke my fav economist Daniel Khaenman and my fav innovation scholor Christensen, and Hubbard- lets get mathy.

lets- follow the money shall we:

<5mil

lets first of all put this into context. in canada- while i have never seen a million dollars- truthfully a million is not alot in this country. so i cant say this category of people is anything but leveraged and paying mortgages. this group is arguably the real entreprenur group who is trying to make money for the economy and/ or high corporates tryign to add value there.

economically this should be the highest group in society. for the simple reason that if most people had a million dollars then those people live in the communities where people dont. and they can recycle the money.

studies reveal that people are more willing to give in their communities than any place else.

5–30 mil

these are effectively successful business people. they worked hard, hopefully they paid their employees well and this is their reward for helping the economy. these people tend to be engaged in the population. they are usually in the elite political types but their power is relatively proportionate to their impact.

in addition their reputations become well known and people knwo what they are getting.

>30 mil

these individuals are part of a socio economic group that is untethered from the rest of us. they have no comprehension of our lives, the rule of law is a suggestion.

sometimes playfully as george clooney illudes to pulling a prank on brad pitt so dangerous he might have broken the law. but the challenge is that for the rest of the population the law is real. in addition it is these people who are making the law.

bored or in need to buy their way out of purgatory, the business of philanthropy has never been more subscribed. foundations that destroy africa’s economic foundations by making people dependent on foreign aid. stripping nations of empowerment because one never thought- we stole their children, we do not know how to make reparations, perhaps we should ask how we can learn from them and empower the communities.

philanthropy does not work. and we all know its main purpose is not impact. as hubbard so eloquently puts it, ppl make decisions that make them feel good.

feeling bad about someone else, then making them feel good because u gave them money is a coping mechanism. not a solution to inequality. as revealed by the anthology of literature on the industry of charity.

What can we do about this?

first and foremost, billionaires do not belong to the world. to a nation. they belong to themselves. and once someone goes above a certain income they should be classified as a political- persona non grata.

billionaires have made beggars of all of us. they stand at the helm of all the money they stole from the rest of us, and create new ever more creative tests of our worthiness to get our money back.

politicians and politicians now serve at the helm of men who can buy influence and, clinically hedge their bets. hey- gotta have money to play the money game. dont hate the player — hate the game. even if they made the game. rigged it. and put guns on the doors so we could all be denied entry.

to tax or not to tax

we cannot force them to pay taxes. this is an adorable and naive thing average people think. their money is hidden. in off shore banks, in crypto that moves wallets every day. u cant find the money.

so this is a mute point. however they should be given a plot of land. or something in an international capacity to make their own country. their photos should be made public so we all know who to avoid. or who to go to. a dedicated glassdoor type rating system should be created to anonymously let us know if the public profile matches the private identity and if we are wasting time or should expect a real conversation.

they should be treated as they believe themselves to be. they are our new kings and queens.

should they want to participate in the world, then a mechanism should be created at the global level, by them alone. where they can pay in to create an international monetary fund, run by real experts. not a single billionaire should be on the management team at any level.

they dont know anything.

the intellectual gap

todays elite are intellectually not as learned. in addition they devalue education. using words like “kensian theory” or “byzantine formula” does not make u smart. studying does.

money is not power. it is not influence. it is not love. it is not acclaim. appeal or any form of justification that one is good or bad.

how money is used is a determination factor of control vs responsibility.

almost 50% of the worlds working capital is unproductively held in billionaire bank accounts. the rest of the money is paying for cancer treatments and groceries.

if we are not able to unlock the wealth being held captive by billionaires, we will not solve the climate crisis. therefore- we will not solve the climate crisis. if they were so inclined to move, they would have done it.

so eject them. with their money. to some place where they can make their own tea and crumpets. clean their own mansions, wash their own toilets. let them figure out how their roads should be built. how their homes should be powered. let us not help. what do we even know worth knowing that they would not know it already?
