if your lucky u get 100 years. and shit goes down. u have so little control. there is so much reason to fall off course. so u try. like learning to snowboard. u fall over and over and over. and u got no idea why ur getting up other than the mountain is in the way.

so u cant tumble down. walk it. or fall till u learn to get up with some fucking grace. and sure- u wore jeans the first time. we all make dumb mistakes.

but in the moments when u stand on plateaus, when u decide to walk up hill so u can board down a better run, u have to remember the reasons u r making that choice. u cant look at someone else and think thats ur style. u dont know if the snow is the same or the board will catch an edge. so u gotta know that its happened to u before and u made it then.

because when u get to the top of the run. when u see the rockies in front of u. in that moment, u understand heaven cant wait. because ur in the fucking clouds. so u kick the board, and u fall into the clouds the whole way down.

the next time ur in hell, then u remember how the puffy snow cocooned u when u tumbled off a mogul. all u remember as the world is falling apart, is how loud you laughed all by yourself. because when the sun is right, and the powder is just fine, it tickles when u fall.
