For the cynics- i am also the tip of the iceberg

im having a great time in calgary. the water main is restricting the water supply and the mayor Jyoti has done an exceptional job rallying calgarians to step up. it sounds wierd but nenshi was the mayor after i left so i never got to feel the “calgary spirit” and i am enjoying being a lil stinky and conserving water as it will be a story we all share one day.

i love calgary coz i have a crew here that restores my faith in humanity. and when im down in the dumps i come home. and its so uplifiting to not be wierd to care about canadians.

so when i was in ottawa, other people might work for themselves or “canada”, i worked for my friends. yes i too was self motivated. but all my friends from blue collar machinist to million dollar bonuses have one thing in common. we r all happy to pay taxes. i dont know who u r reading this, i dont need to know- hard times come on all of us.

and should u need the public network to lift yourself up then, dear friend, know that it was not charity. it was a fucking privilege that our few cents here and there could help stand you up now. be proud. its happened to all of us. there is no shame in needing help once in a while. now pour urself a pint and stop being so fucking mushy about it. the oilers r playing and ur blocking my fucking view.
