this guide is not an official medical opinion. as most women are discovering there is no appropriate medical opinion on how women should be treated during burnout. from mental health support workers to forced stays in hospitals where women are being shot up with lithium and put in beds next to pedophiles- there is only one thing i can say for certain in Canada.

Canada is too heartless to care about you if you are a woman in need. This is a field guide from someone who survived and is hoping to now rebuild. I leave these notes as my own footprints in the hopes that you know which avenues and doors to avoid. this is inspired by you.

i made the decision in 2023 when i was experiencing the inevitable Autistic Burnout to do so in public. Unfortunately linkedIn closed the account that reached so many women who were dealing with the same thing. somehow i gave voice to them and they would reach out to me. i have seen more women cry on a zoom call simply because i told them they were not imagining their stress.

thank you for honoring me and my pain by telling me it resonated with your own. i hope this helps.

Pathology of situation:

You:

  • have above average intelligence
  • have a good sounding job
  • work close to 60–80 hrs a week
  • your manager is not as qualified as you
